PSG Faces Sanctions After Fan Misconduct During Recent Classique Victory
Despite a resounding 5-0 victory on February 8, Paris Saint-Germain faces significant disciplinary measures handed down by the LFP’s disciplinary committee. The sanctions are a response to the incidents that occurred in the Auteuil stand, where offensive banners and discriminatory chants were displayed.
Immediate sanctions announced
The disciplinary action is both swift and severe: the Auteuil stand will be partially closed for two matches, and PSG is fined 10,000 euros. This penalty will affect upcoming games at Parc des Princes, starting with the match against FC Metz on February 21, followed by the clash with AS Monaco on March 6.

Auteuil stand facing partial closure
The LFP’s reasoning is clear. The committee highlighted banners comparing Marseillais to “delivery drivers” or “rats,” and chants that led the referee to briefly halt the game. The stadium announcer had to step in quickly to prevent the match’s permanent suspension.
This decision casts a shadow over PSG’s preparations against Metz, as the club is already dealing with internal issues following Désiré Doué’s controversial celebration in Monaco. PSG will now face the challenge of competing without a fully supportive Auteuil stand for the next two weeks.
