Warren Zaïre-Emery Sets His Sights on World Cup After Returning to France U21 Team
Warren Zaïre-Emery addresses the media at Clairefontaine on Tuesday, discussing his return to the France U21 team.
On Tuesday afternoon, just two days after captaining PSG in their 1-1 draw against Lille, Warren Zaïre-Emery spoke to reporters at Clairefontaine. The young midfielder expressed his excitement about joining the France U21 squad, despite having received regular calls from senior team coach Didier Deschamps since 2024.
“I’m very happy to return to the U21s. I want to enjoy my time with this group. I’ve spoken with coach Didier Deschamps, and it’s a positive step for me. The goal is to regain confidence and come back strong with the senior team,” he stated.
Warren Zaïre-Emery sets sights on the World Cup
As he continued his remarks, the PSG player admitted that he hopes to make a swift return to the senior national team. “The aim is not to stay with the U21s for too long. There’s the World Cup next summer, and that’s a significant goal. It’s the biggest competition out there,” he noted, even acknowledging that his start to the season with Paris Saint-Germain has been “mixed.”
