Victor Osimhen’s Transfer Drama: Chelsea and PSG Fall Short

In the final hours of the transfer window, Victor Osimhen found himself at the center of a whirlwind of speculation. The Nigerian striker was rumored to be a target for both Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea, with the Blues making a significant push to secure his services. However, despite their efforts, the transfer ultimately fell through due to financial disagreements.

Intense negotiations with Chelsea

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea sent a delegation to Italy to negotiate with Osimhen. They worked diligently on the deal, presenting various bonus structures in an attempt to enhance their offer. However, their proposal never came close to meeting Osimhen’s current salary demands of €11-12 million net at Napoli. Chelsea reportedly made five or six different offers, with the last one submitted just before the deadline at 10 PM. Unfortunately for the Blues, Osimhen turned down their advances, leading to the collapse of the potential transfer.

PSG and Al-Ahli’s interest fades

In addition to Chelsea, Al-Ahli also expressed interest in signing Osimhen. However, after being rejected, the Saudi club shifted their focus to Ivan Toney. Meanwhile, PSG seemingly lost interest, as they did not revive their pursuit of the former LOSC star, as reported exclusively by Le10Sport.com. This leaves Osimhen in a challenging position at Napoli, where tensions between him and the club have reportedly escalated.
