Van Dijk’s admiration for PSG
In an interview, Liverpool’s captain reflected on the intense encounters against PSG. **Van Dijk expressed his admiration** for the Parisian team’s strength and playing style. He stated, **“I was very impressed by PSG’s style of play, the individual quality of their players, and their collective efforts. It was surprising that we managed to win the first leg despite their dominance, but that’s football.”**
He continued, **“As for the return leg, we had chances in the first 20 minutes that could have changed the outcome. Ahead of the PSG vs. Inter final
Van Dijk also shared his thoughts on the upcoming final between PSG and Inter Milan, set for May 31 in Munich. He anticipates a closely contested match given both teams’ quality. **“A favorite? I don’t think so. Having recently faced PSG, I was deeply impressed by them. As for Inter, I know them well, including two of their players, my compatriots Denzel Dumfries and Stefan De Vrij. Inter might have a slight edge in experience, having reached the Champions League final in 2023,”** he remarked.
