Top 10 Most Valued Football Players: Lamine Yamal Leads the Rankings at €343M

In its latest weekly newsletter, the CIES Football Observatory has released its rankings of the world’s most valuable players, with three French stars making it into the top ten.

The prices in modern football continue to rise. On Tuesday, the CIES Football Observatory published its highly anticipated list of the most valuable players. Utilizing a statistical model, CIES has ranked Lamine Yamal, just 18 years old and already recognized as one of the best players globally, at the top with an estimated value of €343 million.

The FC Barcelona player surpasses Erling Haaland, valued at €255 million. French players are well-represented, with Kylian Mbappé completing the podium at €201 million. Additionally, two more French talents are in the top ten: Michael Olise, in excellent form with Bayern Munich, is valued at €136 million, while the promising Désiré Doué ranks seventh at €134 million, just ahead of his PSG teammate Joao Neves at €130 million. Pedri rounds out the top ten with a value of €130 million.
