Renato Sanches Poised for Move to Panathinaikos as PSG Looks to Offload Players
While all players loaned out by Paris Saint-Germain returned to the training campus a few weeks ago, Renato Sanches has yet to find a club for the upcoming season. Still under contract with the Parisian club, the midfielder is reportedly close to joining the Panathinaikos, according to Portuguese media.
After spending several months on loan at SL Benfica in Portugal, Renato Sanches has returned to Paris in recent weeks. Contracted to Paris Saint-Germain until 2027, all parties involved are seeking a way out for the Portuguese midfielder. Without the trust of Luis Enrique, it seems unlikely that the former LOSC player will remain in the European Champions’ first team.
According to A Bola, the 28-year-old is on the verge of a revival in Greece, specifically with Panathinaikos. The same source indicates that negotiations are underway between the two clubs to finalize his loan, marking Sanches’ third consecutive loan after stints at AS Roma and SL Benfica.
D’autres indésirables du PSG cherchent à partir
While PSG works with the Greek club for Renato Sanches, they continue negotiations with Juventus for the loan with an option to purchase Randal Kolo Muani. Additionally, Ilyes Housni is reportedly a target for Red Star, with Foot Mercato stating that the Ligue 2 club is interested in securing a loan for the young Parisian talent.
