Rachida Dati’s Vision for Paris: Negotiating PSG’s Future at Parc des Princes
Paris mayoral candidate Rachida Dati has taken a firm stance on the future of Parc des Princes, a key issue in the race to succeed Anne Hidalgo.
As the upcoming municipal elections in Paris approach, the fate of PSG and its iconic home, Parc des Princes, is set to become a pivotal point in the campaigns of major contenders. Candidate Rachida Dati has outlined her position on this crucial matter, as reported by local sources.
“I will negotiate the sale of Parc des Princes to PSG”
“I will ensure PSG remains in Paris and will initiate a project for a modern sports city that promotes Parisian sports on the global stage. I will negotiate the sale of Parc des Princes to PSG in exchange for the creation of a sports and cultural village called ‘Parc PSG’ around the stadium, in collaboration with local sports associations, benefiting both the club and the residents of Paris.” Dati, who currently serves as France’s Minister of Culture, made these remarks, emphasizing her commitment to the club’s future in the capital.
The fate of Parc des Princes is set to become a focal point in the electoral campaign, directly influencing the club’s future and its ties to Paris. PSG is simultaneously exploring options for a new stadium in the Île-de-France region, with locations such as Poissy and Massy under consideration.
