Rabiot Faces Hostile PSG Return After Shocking OM Move

Currently not fit enough, Adrien Rabiot has not been selected by Olympique de Marseille (OM) to face Olympique Lyonnais (OL) this Sunday evening. As he works on regaining his fitness, the midfielder is expected to be at full strength for the highly anticipated clash against Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) on October 27. This iconic match will take place at the Vélodrome, with fans eagerly awaiting Rabiot’s return to Parc des Princes. That encounter in March 2025 promises to be electric.

Having developed his skills at PSG, Adrien Rabiot had vowed never to don the OM jersey. However, he has now signed a two-year contract with the Marseille club. This move, perceived as a betrayal, will likely haunt him when he returns to Parc des Princes in March 2025, where he can expect a hostile reception from the Parisian fans.

“He will be booed by the Parisians, that’s for sure”

Daniel Bravo, a former player for both PSG and OM, has warned Rabiot about the reception awaiting him at Parc des Princes. In an interview with So Foot, he stated: “He will be booed by the Parisians, that’s for sure; they may never forgive him. But knowing his character, I think he’ll tune it out and won’t pay too much attention to the noise around him.”

“I was heavily booed when I returned to Paris”

Edouard Cissé, who joined OM after his time at PSG, recalled his experience returning to Parc des Princes wearing the Marseille colors. “I was heavily booed when I came back to Paris, and Gabi (Heinze) faced even worse. But it was all part of the game,” he shared with So Foot.
