PSG’s Transfer Plans: Will They Sign Another Forward Before the Deadline?
After a substantial investment of €170 million to secure four new players, will Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) make further moves before the transfer window closes? The possibility of adding another offensive player is being discussed within the Parisian club, but journalist Daniel Riolo suggests that no further changes are expected before the deadline on August 30th.
Injury Upsets PSG’s Plans
The recent injury to Gonçalo Ramos, who is set to be sidelined for three months, has complicated matters for PSG as the transfer window nears its end. While the club has considered bringing in a new striker, Daniel Riolo casts doubt on these rumors, stating that the capital club is unlikely to make any more moves before the transfer deadline.
Luis Enrique’s Satisfaction with the Squad
“Are they looking for a number nine? The coach is satisfied with the current squad. What I know is that he is quite pleased and they will likely proceed this way,” Riolo disclosed during an interview on After Foot, elaborating on previously mentioned targets such as Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman.
Are Osimhen and Lookman Out of Reach?
“The transfer window? For the past two weeks, I’ve been hearing various things. As for Lookman, I quickly stated that he wouldn’t be joining; he’s not coming. Honestly, if Osimhen arrives before August 30th, it would indicate that some key figures at this club are failing to make necessary decisions. It would mean this club is not operating as it should. Osimhen would not be the choice of Luis Campos nor of Luis Enrique, and perhaps even less so from Enrique’s perspective. Very few people at Paris are keen on Osimhen.” Riolo further explained.
