According to a report from the daily newspaper L’Equipe, PSG is on the lookout for a right-footed central defender to serve as a “successor to Marquinhos.” Several names have emerged, including Abdukodir Khuzanov from Racing Club de Lens, but the Parisians are not the only contenders for his signature.

The Parisians are also eyeing talent from the Premier League, with Bournemouth’s Ilya Zabarny on their radar. However, the presence of Matvey Safonov in the PSG squad raises potential geopolitical concerns about adding another Ukrainian player to a team that already includes a Russian.
