PSG’s Joane Gadou Joins Red Bull Salzburg in Historic Transfer
Despite the conclusion of the summer transfer window in France, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) remains actively engaged in player departures. Following the exits of Danilo Pereira and Ismaël Gharbi, young talent Joane Gadou has now made his move from the French capital. The 17-year-old has signed with Red Bull Salzburg until June 2027. This Tuesday, the young Parisian reflected on his transition to Austria.
The purging process at PSG is far from over. After Ismaël Gharbi (Sporting Braga) and Danilo Pereira (Al-Ittihad), the club has announced the departure of its promising star Joane Gadou to Red Bull Salzburg.
A landmark deal
At just 17 years old, the Aubervilliers native has joined the Austrian club for a fee of €10 million, setting a record for a minor player developed at PSG. Committed to Red Bull Salzburg until the summer of 2027, Gadou expressed his excitement to the media about joining his new team.
Gadou thrilled after signing
“I am very happy to have signed a contract with FC Red Bull Salzburg and I can’t wait to step onto the pitch. Salzburg is a great choice for me because it’s a club that believes in young players and gives them the opportunity to progress quickly. I hope to achieve that as well. I am a fan of Dayot Upamecano, who played here and is now a French international, and I find his style of play quite familiar,” Gadou shared in comments reported by the official website of the Austrian club.
