PSG releases statement on Donnarumma’s condition

After the match, Paris Saint-Germain issued an initial statement regarding their player’s injury. “Suffering from a facial trauma with multiple lacerations, Gianluigi Donnarumma will return to Paris tonight with the team. He will undergo medical examinations tomorrow and will need to remain inactive for several days,” the club announced on its official website.

It seems likely that the PSG goalkeeper will miss the upcoming match against Racing Club de Lens this Sunday in the Coupe de France’s 32nd round.

Singo apologizes to Donnarumma

After the incident in the first half, AS Monaco defender Wilfried Singo expressed his apologies to the PSG goalkeeper on social media.

“I want to apologize to Gianluigi Donnarumma. My action was obviously not intentional, but I realized afterward that he had a significant facial injury. I wish you a speedy recovery,” Singo wrote on his Instagram account.
