PSG Triumphs Over Inter Milan 5-0, Donnarumma Reflects on Euro Glory Over Club Win
Paris Saint-Germain triumphed over Inter Milan last night in Munich with a resounding 5-0 victory. This win marks their first UEFA Champions League title, a significant milestone for a club whose future remains uncertain in the capital.
Paris Saint-Germain experienced what could be described as the most remarkable evening in their history, securing an astonishing victory against Inter Milan in the Champions League final (5-0). Following this monumental match, the Parisian club has joined Olympique de Marseille as the only French teams to have claimed this prestigious title. However, amidst the celebratory atmosphere, goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma expressed uncertainty about his future at the club.
When asked about a potential contract extension with PSG during an interview with Sky Sport after the match, the Italian keeper, whose contract runs until 2026, stated: “I don’t know, I don’t know, we’ll see in the coming days. Right now, I will join the national team; we have two very important matches. I need to focus on those two matches.”
Donnarumma values national glory over club success
Following the match, Donnarumma shared that nothing could compare to his victory with the Italian national team at Euro 2021. He remarked, “Winning something with your country is stronger. You have an entire nation behind you; you represent your country, the pressure is even greater, it’s different, it’s more.” Such comments may not sit well with PSG supporters, despite his historic triumph with the club against Inter.
