PSG Star Fabian Ruiz Reflects on Challenging First Season and His Redemption
During the international break, a PSG star opened up about his initial experiences with the Parisian club.
In a historic achievement last May, Paris Saint-Germain secured their first-ever Champions League title after a commanding 5-0 victory over Inter Milan in the final. This triumph marked a significant milestone for the capital’s club, showcasing their impressive collective strength.
Among the key players in this victory was Fabian Ruiz, who experienced a transformative journey during the campaign. Having joined PSG in the summer of 2022 from SSC Napoli, the Spanish midfielder initially went through an extensive adaptation phase before fully demonstrating his capabilities in the Parisian colors.
A candid admission
In an interview, the European champion candidly discussed his challenging beginnings. His first season under the guidance of Christophe Galtier was a learning curve before Luis Enrique’s arrival a year later restored his full confidence.
“The first season with Galtier was challenging both personally and collectively. I struggled to adapt to the club, the city, and Ligue 1. Although I ended up playing almost every match, I initially faced some difficulties,” Fabian Ruiz revealed. Now, he is a fixture in PSG’s starting lineup.
