PSG Injury Update: Marquinhos and Mayulu Likely to Miss Return Against Strasbourg
As the injury list at Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) reaches concerning levels, the upcoming international break offers a glimmer of hope for recovery. However, two key players are expected to remain sidelined when club activities resume, according to reports from Canal+.
Recently plagued by a series of injuries, PSG is counting on the international break to help some players recuperate. Key absences include Bradley Barcola, Joao Neves, and Senny Mayulu, who have withdrawn from their respective national team commitments. In addition to these players, the squad is also missing Ousmane Dembélé, Désiré Doué, and Marquinhos.
Despite the current situation, the majority of injured players are expected to return to action after the break, with only two likely to miss the match against Strasbourg on Friday, October 17.
Senny Mayulu and Marquinhos unlikely to feature
According to Canal+, captain Marquinhos and Senny Mayulu are both expected to be unavailable for the upcoming match against RCSA on October 17. The Brazilian defender has been nursing a quadriceps injury since late September, while Mayulu sustained a thigh injury during the recent match against Lille (1-1), just before the break.
PSG will kick off their season against Strasbourg on October 17, followed by a crucial encounter against Bayer Leverkusen in Germany on Tuesday, October 21.
