PSG Faces Injury Woes: Vitinha, Doué, and Zaïre-Emery Concerns
As the international break drags on, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) faces a string of unfortunate news regarding player injuries. Following setbacks for Vitinha and Désiré Doué, the capital club may also be without Warren Zaïre-Emery for several weeks after he sustained an injury during a match against Italy.
Worries Mount for Doué
The first blow came from Portugal when Vitinha, a key player in PSG’s strong start to the season, was forced to leave his national team due to an ankle injury. Meanwhile, during a match against Slovenia on Friday, Désiré Doué also suffered a hit. Despite being substituted due to the injury, he reassured fans post-match, stating, “No, it’s not very serious. I think the player kicked the ball, and it hit my ankle, causing it to twist a bit. It hurt at first, but I believe I’ll be fine.”
Zaïre-Emery’s Condition Uncertain
As the team prepares for its return, Luis Enrique may have to contend with another absence: Warren Zaïre-Emery. The midfielder was brought on in the 77th minute of Friday’s match against Italy, which PSG won 3-1, but he also took a hit during the game. He is currently undergoing medical evaluations, and his participation in the upcoming match against Belgium on Monday remains in jeopardy.
