PSG Faces Atlético Madrid: Luis Enrique Receives Positive News Before Clash
Hours before the highly anticipated Champions League clash between Paris Saint-Germain and Atlético Madrid, coach Luis Enrique received some encouraging news.
PSG is gearing up for their crucial Champions League match against Atlético Madrid, knowing the stakes are high. Currently, the capital club sits with only four points from three matches, far from the direct qualification spots for the knockout rounds.
As it stands, the Parisians must navigate the preliminary rounds to have a shot at reaching the knockout stage under the new competition format. A disappointing result against Atlético could significantly jeopardize PSG’s chances in this year’s Champions League.
To avoid any unpleasant surprises, Luis Enrique has received some positive updates.
During the open training session on Wednesday, Ousmane Dembélé, Bradley Barcola, and Randal Kolo Muani were all present. Each is vying for a spot in the starting lineup for the match.
Gonçalo Ramos still absent, three key absences for Atlético
While Presnel Kimpembe also participated in the session, Gonçalo Ramos continues to train individually. Both players are hopeful for a return to the squad by December.
On the Atlético side, they will be missing three significant players in central defense: José Maria Gimenez (suspended), Robin Le Normand (concussion), and Cesar Azpilicueta (physical discomfort).
