PSG Eyes Victor Osimhen Amid Kylian Mbappé’s Departure, No Offer Yet
The transfer market is set to close on August 30, and as of now, Victor Osimhen remains a striker for SSC Napoli. The Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is reportedly eyeing Osimhen as a potential acquisition this summer, as the club seeks to fill the void left by Kylian Mbappé’s anticipated move to Real Madrid. While it seems that Osimhen’s release clause may have been lifted, PSG has yet to make an official offer.
Kylian Mbappé has departed from the capital club, leaving PSG in search of a replacement. Although Désiré Doué joined the Parisian ranks last week, the club is likely considering a more seasoned forward, such as Victor Osimhen.
Osimhen’s release clause potentially lifted
According to RMC Sport journalist Fabrice Hawkins, SSC Napoli has made a significant decision regarding Victor Osimhen. Once seen as not for sale, the Naples club appears to have removed the release clause for the Nigerian international. Valued at €130 million, this development could work in PSG’s favor.
No official offer from PSG yet
However, RMC Sport has reported that PSG has not yet made a concrete offer for the player. The coming weeks will be crucial in determining whether PSG will take the decisive step to sign Victor Osimhen, or if other clubs will enter the fray to secure the Nigerian striker. A clear answer is expected by the end of the week.
