PSG Explores New Stadium Options After Failed Negotiations with Paris City Hall

Following unsuccessful negotiations with the Paris City Hall, the capital’s football club is exploring several options for the construction of a potential new stadium. In this context, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has initiated a consultation with its supporters.

On Monday, over 90,000 Parisian supporters received an email that could significantly impact the future of PSG. Currently working on the project for its new stadium, the club has identified two suburban locations—Massy and Poissy—that are capable of hosting the proposed venue.

To aid in its decision-making process, PSG has surveyed its subscribers and fans who have previously attended matches at Parc des Princes. The email includes a survey that takes approximately 30 minutes to complete, inquiring about supporters’ habits, expectations, and matchday experiences. The feedback aims to help the club refine the design of its future project in either Poissy or Massy.

More than just a stadium

In its communication, Paris Saint-Germain makes it clear that the survey pertains to “a new facility” rather than the existing Parc des Princes. For reference, negotiations with the Paris City Hall regarding the purchase of the PSG’s current home have not yielded results. However, the possibility of remaining at Parc is not entirely off the table.

In the meantime, the European Champions are ambitiously securing their future. The club aims to decide between Poissy and Massy by the fall of 2026, according to Le Parisien. PSG envisions more than just a stadium; they dream of “a vibrant space open 365 days a year.” The consultation with supporters will remain open for a month.
