PSG Dominates Dinamo Minsk 4-0 to Advance in Youth League, Last French Team Standing
With a commanding 4-0 victory over Dinamo Minsk this Wednesday at the Campus, Paris Saint-Germain has secured their spot in the Round of 16 of the UEFA Youth League, becoming the last remaining French team in the competition. The match was observed from Poissy.
1. PSG dominates the match effortlessly
As the last French representative in the Youth League following the recent eliminations of Monaco and Marseille, PSG showed their prowess against Dinamo Minsk. While this knockout match could have posed challenges, the Parisians made it look easy thanks to captain Cordier’s goal in the 17th minute, followed by Mounguengue’s strike in the 28th minute and Ayari’s penalty conversion in the 60th minute. Dominating the first half, PSG faced an opponent clearly outmatched. Notably, under coach J. F Vulliez, the team maintained their intensity and focus throughout the game, avoiding complacency. Despite their evident superiority, they remained united and committed, achieving a commanding collective victory. This qualification is particularly impressive given the absence of key players like Boly and Abo El Nay due to injuries, and Noham Kamara’s departure to OL.
2. Pierre Mounguengue shines
While the victory was a team effort, individual performances stood out. Ayari’s penetrative runs troubled the Minsk defense, Lucea was impenetrable at the back, and Assab controlled the midfield with grace. However, it was 18-year-old Pierre Mounguengue who truly made an impact. He netted two goals, first scoring at the half-hour mark and later with a long-range effort in the 64th minute. His role as a reliable and mobile anchor was crucial, as he consistently linked up with wingers and midfielders. Close to providing an assist in the 7th minute for Jangeal, Mounguengue also earned the penalty that Ayari converted for the 3-0 lead. With the number 21 on his back, he delivered a standout performance.
3. Support from passionate fans

The young PSG players received strong backing from several hundred ultras who came to the Campus specifically for this match. From the first to the last minute, they passionately cheered, alternating between iconic PSG chants and boos directed at the Belarusian side. This enthusiastic support was invaluable for the U19 squad, helping to acclimate them to the atmosphere they may encounter in the future at Parc des Princes.

4. PSG faced no real challenge
Dinamo Minsk was completely outclassed and struggled to pose any threat against PSG. They didn’t register a single shot until the 57th minute and found it extremely difficult to get out of their own half. Their defensive weaknesses were ruthlessly exploited by PSG, resulting in a harrowing experience for the Belarusian side. It’s safe to say that the players, led by Sergey Yaromko, left Yvelines and the Youth League without ever having had the chance to believe in a comeback during the match.
