PSG Dominates Brest 3-0: Hakimi’s Double and Player Ratings from the Match

Thanks to a standout performance including a double from Achraf Hakimi—his first two goals of the season—and a strike from Désiré Doué, Paris Saint-Germain capped off a successful week with a convincing 3-0 victory over Brest, temporarily reclaiming the top spot in Ligue 1. Here’s a look at the player ratings for the match!

PSG vs Brest Player Ratings

1. L. Chevalier – 5/10

Chevalier was useful and precise with his feet, experiencing a quiet first half where he mostly focused on maintaining concentration during set pieces from Brest. He made one safe stop in the first half. After the break, he didn’t step out for a free kick and witnessed Del Castillo’s penalty sail over the bar, but he made a vital intervention against Mama Baldé late in the game.

2. A. Hakimi – 8/10

Hakimi opened the scoring with a precise finish from a brilliant pass by Vitinha in the 29th minute, marking his first goal of the season. He netted a second goal shortly after, benefiting from Kvaratskhelia’s great setup in the 39th minute. Defensively solid and warning for a yellow card early in the match, Hakimi played high up the pitch, almost like a pure right winger.

3. I. Zabarnyi – 5/10

After a nightmare outing in Leverkusen, the Ukrainian defender improved his performance. He had a shaky moment in the 17th minute when he slipped on a back pass, but the action was ruled offside. In his duel with Ajorque, he used his height and strength effectively, narrowly avoiding a yellow card in the 78th minute. Zabarnyi made a notable recovery against Brest’s scorer in the 81st minute and attempted some interesting passing trajectories, although not all were successful.

4. W. Pacho – 6/10

Pacho had a relatively calm match. While Ajorque battled with Zabarnyi, Pacho remained composed, achieving 100% success in both his passes and tackles at halftime. He also made several precise and intense passes to inject tempo into PSG’s play. He nearly scored the third goal of the match in the 65th minute before being substituted for Marquinhos.

5. L. Hernandez – 5/10

While he didn’t contribute as much as Nuno Mendes in this position, Hernandez was still effective. He made a notable intervention in the 12th minute and had several forward runs. He brought aggression and intensity to every contested ball and worked hard to prevent Mama Baldé from getting a chance against Chevalier at the end of the match.

6. Vitinha – 7/10

Vitinha delivered a brilliant assist to Hakimi for the opening goal (29th minute) and had another impressive performance, controlling the game’s tempo. All PSG’s plays seemed to flow through him, as he organized the midfield and was constantly sought out by both defenders and fellow midfielders.

7. W. Zaïre-Emery – 5/10

Zaïre-Emery was involved in PSG’s passing sequences in Brest’s half and contributed significantly to their immediate pressing after losing possession. Although he had a few initiatives in his passing and a lackluster shot in the 35th minute, he had minimal errors, but wasn’t as visible as he was in Leverkusen.

8. K-I. Lee – 5/10

Kang-in Lee was active, trying to be available in every situation for PSG. His left foot and technique were noted, although he didn’t achieve everything he attempted. He intelligently let the ball run for Mayulu in a better position (23rd minute) but lost a dangerous ball in the 32nd without consequences. His unintentional handball early in the second half led to the penalty that Del Castillo missed. He also had a long-range shot that went off target (62nd minute). Substituted in the 65th minute for O. Dembélé.

9. B. Barcola – 4/10

Barcola had a lackluster first half, completing only nine passes, failing to succeed any dribbles, and not winning any duels. He started on the left before switching to the right towards the end of the half. Luis Enrique kept him on for the changes, but he still didn’t have a more interesting second half. He had a nice shot late in the match before being replaced by G. Ramos in the 79th minute.

10. S. Mayulu – 4/10

Returning as a false nine after playing in midfield against Leverkusen, Mayulu had the first chance for PSG but missed a one-on-one in the 23rd minute. He was quiet and not very involved but attempted to be available between the lines. He could have assisted Kvaratskhelia (20th minute) had he put more weight behind his pass. After Dembélé’s entry, he was repositioned to midfield. Substituted in the 79th minute for Q. Ndjantou.

11. K. Kvaratskhelia – 6/10

Kvaratskhelia had a slow start on the right but became a real threat once he switched to the left. After an impressive slalom that resulted in a shot saved by Majecki, he assisted Hakimi for the second goal (0-2, 39th minute). He nearly scored himself in the 65th minute with a powerful shot. Substituted in the 70th minute for D. Doué, who scored his third goal of the week at the very end of the match.
