PSG Aims to Finalize Player Sales Before Transfer Deadline, Ugarte and Soler in Focus

As the transfer window approaches its closing date next Friday, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is actively looking to finalize several player sales. Among these, the move of Manuel Ugarte to Manchester United is reportedly on a promising track, while Carlos Soler’s transfer to West Ham United is also gaining momentum. The London club continues to push hard for the Spanish international, with expectations of a deal around €23 million.

After investing a staggering €170 million to secure four new players—Matvey Safonov, Joao Neves, Willian Pacho, and Désiré Doué—PSG is now focused on offloading some of its existing players. Despite a significant reduction in their wage bill due to the departures of Kylian Mbappé, Keylor Navas, and Layvin Kurzawa, most outgoing transfers have been loans, including Cher Ndour (to Besiktas), Renato Sanches (to Benfica), Gabriel Moscardo (to Reims), and Lucas Lavallée (to Aubagne). However, by Friday evening, PSG is expected to finalize a few sales.

Soler’s move to West Ham takes shape

According to reports from Sky Sports, negotiations are ongoing between West Ham and PSG regarding Carlos Soler, who no longer fits into Luis Enrique‘s plans. The Spanish international is eager to reunite with compatriot Julen Lopetegui, the manager of the Hammers. Recently, Le Parisien reported that a transfer fee of €23 million is anticipated for Soler’s move.

Ugarte’s transfer on the horizon?

The action doesn’t stop there, as another departure seems imminent with Manuel Ugarte also likely to leave. Again, citing Sky Sports, Manchester United is poised to finalize the transfer of Scott McTominay to Napoli. The Scottish midfielder is expected to join the team managed by Antonio Conte for approximately €30 million. This sum could then be reinvested by the Red Devils to bring in Manuel Ugarte. Even if the McTominay deal falls through, Manchester United may still consider a loan with an obligatory purchase option for Ugarte from PSG.
