Ousmane Dembélé Plans Retirement at 34, Eyes Real Estate Investment in Africa
Paris, November 2024 – Renowned footballer and Paris Saint-Germain star, Ousmane Dembélé, has shared his retirement plans, revealing the age he intends to hang up his boots and his aspirations beyond football.
Future plans beyond the field
At 27, the former Barcelona winger is already contemplating life after football. In a recent conversation with Real Madrid’s Aurélien Tchouaméni, Dembélé disclosed his intention to retire at 34. He expressed a keen interest in venturing into the real estate market and expanding his business horizons internationally.
During an interview on ESN’s YouTube channel, Dembélé shared his vision with Tchouaméni, stating, “I want to retire at 34. Then, I want to get into real estate. Invest in Africa, in France.”
Investing in Africa
Since joining PSG from the Catalan giants in the summer of 2023, Dembélé has had a noteworthy debut season, contributing to the team’s success with three trophies, including the Ligue 1 title. However, the 2024-25 season presented challenges when he faced temporary exclusion from the PSG squad for a Champions League match against Arsenal due to alleged disrespect.
Despite a setback with a hamstring injury that forced his withdrawal from the French national team for the UEFA Nations League matches in November, Dembélé is expected to return for PSG’s upcoming Ligue 1 clash against Toulouse, under the guidance of coach Luis Enrique.
