Ousmane Dembélé Expresses Frustration After PSG’s Defeat to Rennes (3-1)

Ousmane Dembélé expressed his frustration following Paris Saint-Germain’s defeat to Rennes (3-1). The French forward had previously shown signs of irritation towards a teammate during their victory against Marseille.

Celebrated by his former club prior to the match, Dembélé started the evening with a broad smile. However, his demeanor drastically changed after the final whistle, as PSG fell to Rennes. As a leader, the Ballon d’Or winner criticized the team’s lack of collective spirit and excessive individualism.

Although he didn’t name any specific teammates, the international forward likely had certain players in mind. According to L’Equipe, Dembélé had already raised his voice against Désiré Doué during their previous win against Olympique de Marseille. On Friday, the Golden Boy failed to shine against his old club.

Désiré Doué struggles to impress

Since returning from injury, the hero of the last Champions League final has been experiencing a tough phase. Doué has gone silent during his last six appearances for the Parisian club, struggling to regain his influence. In the match against Stade Rennais, he lacked simplicity and effectiveness in the final third. Nevertheless, he managed to create a chance that Dembélé squandered shortly after halftime.
