Nuno Mendes Celebrates Champions League and Nations League Triumphs in Munich

A remarkable week for Nuno Mendes, who triumphed in both the Champions League and the Nations League in a span of just eight days. The Portuguese defender from PSG shared his thoughts on these recent victories.

Munich, 2025. A date etched in memory for the Portuguese players of Paris Saint-Germain, who clinched the Champions League title against Inter Milan on May 31, followed by a thrilling Nations League victory over Spain on June 8, decided by penalties. Vitinha, Joao Neves, Gonçalo Ramos, and the notable Nuno Mendes raised both prestigious trophies, adding to the domestic titles Paris secured this season.

The left-back stood out in last night’s match against La Roja, effectively neutralizing Lamine Yamal on his flank. Awarded Man of the Match by UEFA after an intense 120 minutes, Mendes spoke in the mixed zone, stating, “This was one of my best performances, yes. I want to thank my teammates, who helped me immensely. Now, I must keep working; I have a lot ahead of me. I showcase my work on the pitch and will continue to give my best for the team.” He added, “I have won the Champions League and my first title for Portugal. I am very happy.“

Nuno Mendes’ Season is Not Yet Over

However, the 2024-2025 season is far from over for Nuno Mendes and his fellow Portuguese teammates at PSG. They are set to fly out with the rest of the squad to the United States this Tuesday, heading to Los Angeles for the Club World Cup.
