Mbappé vs PSG: Disputed €55M After Unwritten €96M Agreement
Today, the ongoing dispute between PSG and Kylian Mbappé has escalated as they face relevant authorities to resolve their financial disagreement. The Real Madrid player is demanding €55 million, while the Parisian club insists on a verbal agreement made by the French forward. Allegedly, an unwritten accord was established between PSG and Mbappé for a total of €96 million.
Kylian Mbappé’s transition from PSG to Real Madrid was initially considered amicable. However, last summer, during a period of tension when Mbappé was sidelined, he and PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi reportedly reached an understanding to ensure the club would benefit financially from the situation. Now, Mbappé is revisiting this arrangement, claiming €55 million.
Agreement from a Past Discussion
In an interview with RMC, former PSG player Jérôme Rothen elaborated on the conflict between PSG and Kylian Mbappé. He indicated that a discussion took place last summer between Mbappé and the club president, resulting in an informal agreement: “There was a discussion between Mbappé and the PSG president. From this discussion emerged an understanding that if Mbappé left freely, which was his right, PSG would financially benefit somewhat from the deal.”
A Financial Impact of €96 Million
Rothen emphasized that the agreement between PSG and Kylian Mbappé was estimated at around €96 million: “There was a saving of approximately €96 million in salaries and bonuses. I am precise; the figures were disclosed and were documented in an email between PSG and the Mbappé camp.”
