Mbappé Brothers React to Mukiele’s Move to Bayer Leverkusen
This summer has marked a significant transition for the Mbappé family as both Kylian and Ethan have moved on from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). Kylian has signed with Real Madrid, while younger brother Ethan has joined Lille OSC. Despite their departures from the French capital, the brothers are still keeping a close watch on events occurring back in Paris, especially with the recent loan of Nordi Mukiele to Bayer Leverkusen, which has sparked their interest.
After spending time as a secondary player at PSG, Nordi Mukiele has opted to return to Germany. The former RB Leipzig defender has been loaned to Bayer Leverkusen without an option to buy. In his welcoming statement, Mukiele expressed his enthusiasm: “It’s fantastic for me to return to Germany, especially at the Bundesliga champions. Joining Bayer 04 in the Champions League is particularly appealing. I’m simply looking forward to giving my all for Bayer 04, both internationally and in local competitions.”
The Mbappé brothers react
The departure of Nordi Mukiele from PSG did not go unnoticed by the Mbappé brothers. On Instagram, Kylian commented on a post from the new Bayer Leverkusen player, saying: “It’s now.” Ethan Mbappé also chimed in with an excited remark: “Let’s go!!!!!“
Leverkusen welcomes Mukiele with open arms
The sporting director of Bayer Leverkusen, Simon Rolfes, spoke highly of Mukiele‘s arrival, stating: “Nordi Mukiele is an athletic and fast defender. His profile fits perfectly into our team; he has significant Champions League experience with 30 appearances and is a versatile player who can perform as both a right-back and a center-back. Additionally, his familiarity with the Bundesliga is a great asset for us. After playing 100 league matches for RB Leipzig, Nordi understands the nuances of German football, will adapt quickly, and will enhance the quality of our squad.”
