Luis Enrique Relies on Vitinha as Key Player at PSG
Luis Enrique’s Indispensable Player at PSG: Vitinha’s Unique Role
Paris, September 2023 – Since joining Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in the summer of 2023, Luis Enrique has embraced competition within his squad, often reshuffling his lineup to keep players on their toes. Yet, despite his rotational tactics, there’s one player he finds irreplaceable: Vitinha.
Enrique’s rotational strategy
Upon his arrival, **Luis Enrique** immediately set a tone of competition, maintaining no untouchable players in his team. The Spanish coach is known for his willingness to make bold decisions—substituting key players at halftime or leaving them out of the starting lineup entirely.
However, an exception has emerged. According to inside sources, **Vitinha** has become crucial to Enrique’s style of play. Within the team, **the Portuguese midfielder** is viewed as “the embodiment of Luis Enrique’s style.”
Vitinha: The trusted link
**Vitinha** is more than just a midfield presence; he’s a vital communication conduit for Enrique. The pair frequently discuss team tactics and the principles Enrique aims to implement. **Former PSG midfielder Édouard Cissé** acknowledges the difficulty Enrique faces when Vitinha is absent, noting the team’s reduced fluidity without him.
Challenges in finding a replacement
The former PSG player highlights the unique skill set Vitinha brings. His attributes are finely tuned to **Enrique’s football philosophy**. The challenge lies in finding another player who can match Vitinha’s ability in ball control, tempo management, and the knack for unlocking defenses with precise passes or clever strikes.
While potential candidates like Warren and Beraldo show promise, they require further development to reach Vitinha’s level of expertise. Warren’s youthful exuberance and Beraldo’s game intelligence are promising, but both lack the complete skill set needed.
**As PSG prepares for their clash against Olympique de Marseille** at the Stade Vélodrome this Sunday, all eyes are on Vitinha. The Portuguese midfielder is expected to play a pivotal role in the highly anticipated Ligue 1 match.
