Luis Enrique Praises Coupe de France Ahead of PSG’s Match Against Fontenay

During a press conference on Friday in Poissy, Luis Enrique described the Coupe de France as a “wonderful” competition, just ahead of their match against Nantes in the round of 32 against Fontenay.

Fewer journalists attended compared to Doha, but Luis Enrique remained equally focused on the upcoming Coupe de France match against Fontenay, a National club. The Parisian coach spoke at the PSG Campus and shared his view on the national cup. “The Coupe de France, like the Copa del Rey in Spain, is wonderful because it allows teams from different categories to compete. Making it to the finals is one of the most exciting matches to play. We love the Coupe de France. I hope the Fontenay players enjoy the experience tomorrow. We are the defending champions for the past two years, and we want to continue that success,” he stated.

Will Young Talents Be Included?

Following their return from Doha on Thursday after a victory against Flamengo, Luis Enrique faces the challenge of managing a squad with various fatigue levels. While Pacho has been officially rested, and Bradley Barcola and Kang-in Lee are included in the medical update, the Spanish coach was asked about the possibility of including young talents in the match. “Tomorrow we will travel and see who is fit to play. The young talents will be there, and I hope they are ready to help the team. There’s no pressure on them, but they must be prepared,” he remarked.
