Lucas Hernandez, a key figure at Paris Saint-Germain, remains vocal about his satisfaction and commitment to the team. Since joining in July 2023, the versatile French defender quickly secured a starting position in the central defense. However, a severe knee injury has recently seen him fall in the team hierarchy.

Now, the 2018 World Cup winner finds himself in a supporting role, a situation he appears to embrace calmly. Hernandez is resolute in his dedication to the team, and he intends to fulfill his contract, which extends until June 2028.

Hernandez sends a strong message

Despite his current role, Hernandez maintains his ambitions. “I want the third star! I still have two years left on my contract,” he stated. “Of course, I would love to complete my contract here and even beyond. But that decision is not up to me. I am very happy in Paris, as is my family. We are making history at the club.”

“I am a player who doesn’t cause problems, always there for the team. I am not an individualistic player. If I’m not playing, I won’t sulk or skip training, nor will I have conflicts with my teammates or the coach. Football is about the team, not just one player. Never lose sight of that,” Hernandez continued.
