Kylian Mbappé’s Rocky Start at Real Madrid: A Mixed August Performance
The month of August has proven to be a challenging start for Kylian Mbappé at Real Madrid. Despite netting a goal in four matches, the superstar has faced criticism from various media outlets. However, his transition from PSG to Madrid seems undeterred by the surrounding noise.
Kylian Mbappé has not had the explosive debut he anticipated at Real Madrid following his free transfer from PSG. On August 14, the marquee signing of this summer’s transfer window did manage to score in his first match for the club, contributing to a 2-0 victory in the UEFA Super Cup against Atalanta.
Expectations Are High
After the match, Mbappé told Movistar+ that he had no limits on his ambitions and set his sights on scoring 50 goals in his first season at Real Madrid. However, his recent performances in La Liga have been less impressive, with three matches played but no goals at the time of a commentary from Didier Deschamps, aired on TF1 during Téléfoot on Sunday morning. “Mbappé’s first steps at Real Madrid? He scored, but we always expect a lot from him. It doesn’t happen overnight,” Deschamps remarked.
Focusing on Happiness
Despite facing criticism from certain media sources in Spain, it appears that Kylian Mbappé remains unfazed. His national team coach, Didier Deschamps, revealed that Mbappé is genuinely enjoying his time in the Spanish capital. “He is happy to be there. I know him well; he will do everything possible to ensure things go smoothly,” Deschamps stated.
