In a highly anticipated move, Kylian Mbappé has fulfilled his childhood dream by signing with Real Madrid. After his contract with PSG came to an end, the French international officially joined the Spanish giants amidst interest from several other top clubs, as reported by various sources. This article explores the significant teams that pursued Mbappé this summer.

Kylian Mbappé is set to embark on a thrilling new chapter in his career. For the first time, the French star will compete in a foreign league, specifically in Spain. Now a free agent following his departure from PSG, the 2018 World Cup champion has committed to Real Madrid until 2029. He was grandly introduced at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium, where he explained the motivation behind his decision.

Mbappé living the dream

“I’ve dreamed of playing for Real Madrid for years, and today my dream has come true. Here I am at last. Now I have another dream: to live up to the history of this club, the best in the world.” These were the heartfelt words of Mbappé as he embraced the Real Madrid crest.

Numerous offers on the table

Given Kylian Mbappé’s longstanding admiration for Real Madrid, it was clear that no other teams could sway him. According to multiple reports, two Premier League clubs made significant attempts to secure his services in recent months. The first was Manchester United, who reportedly made a substantial offer that was ultimately rejected by the Mbappé camp. Another club, Liverpool, also expressed interest, but their pursuit faltered, particularly following the departure of Jürgen Klopp. Naturally, PSG made efforts to extend his contract, but it was time for the French international to chase his dream.
