Kylian Mbappé Demands €55M from PSG After Real Madrid Move
Despite Kylian Mbappé’s recent transfer to Real Madrid, his chapter with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is far from over. The French captain has launched a legal claim against the Parisian club, demanding €55 million for unpaid salaries and bonuses—an unexpected turn that has left PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi reeling.
The split between Mbappé and PSG has been fraught with tension. While the French superstar transitioned to Real Madrid on a free transfer, unresolved financial issues are at the heart of the discord between the two parties. PSG had hoped that Mbappé would show goodwill during this transition, but instead, he is pursuing a substantial financial claim.
A shocking move for Al-Khelaïfi
Cyril Hanouna, a close associate of Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, shared insights on the ongoing conflict between PSG and Mbappé during an interview with Europe 1. He remarked that Al-Khelaïfi was blindsided by this turn of events: “Nasser Al-Khelaïfi would have never anticipated, believe me, that Kylian Mbappé would pull such a shocking move. I promise you, Al-Khelaïfi is genuinely a kind person.”
Trust was expected
Hanouna further elaborated on the situation, stating, “For him, there was an unspoken agreement between Mbappé and himself that regardless of circumstances, they would find a way to cooperate, and PSG would benefit financially from the transfer. This did not materialize, which is why tensions have escalated between Mbappé and Al-Khelaïfi. Nasser is someone who values trust; when he gives his word, he expects it to be honored.”
