“I am from the Canal+ generation. For me, it is a loss to have lost a great partner. Canal+ is not just a broadcaster; it feels like family. I can’t imagine Canal+ without Ligue 1 or Ligue 1 without Canal+. It’s absurd, it’s a big mistake, in my words,” lamented Antoine Kombouaré, emphasizing his deep connection to the channel.

“I know what I’m talking about. When it comes to TV rights and the quality of service, Canal+ has always highlighted Ligue 1 and worked tirelessly to elevate it to a recognized championship. Today, not having Canal+ is a huge loss for French football. No matter which broadcaster comes in, they cannot compete with Canal+.
