Paris Saint-Germain Settles €61 Million Dispute with Kylian Mbappé, No Appeal
Paris Saint-Germain has been ordered to pay €61 million to Kylian Mbappé, but the club has decided not to appeal the ruling. This decision marks a definitive end to the tumultuous relationship between the capital club and the star player.
On Friday, PSG confirmed in a statement to the AFP that it would “not appeal the decision.” Having been ordered to pay €61 million to the French captain, the club is eager to move on from this dispute.
“In a spirit of responsibility and to put an end to a protracted legal process, the club has chosen not to prolong this dispute. PSG is now resolutely focused on the future, concentrating on its sporting project and collective success,” the club stated.
A Payment Already Made
Paris Saint-Germain had one month to appeal the ruling made by the labor court, which was notified to them on January 20. Notably, Kylian Mbappé had raised concerns about unpaid salaries, bonuses, and vacation time at the conclusion of his contract in 2024, during his transition to Real Madrid.
The club asserts that it has already fulfilled the payment obligations to the Madrid forward. “Paris Saint-Germain has complied with all obligations stemming from this decision, whether it concerns the publication of the judgment— which it has never contested— or the payment of the amounts owed,” the club’s lawyer stated to the AFP. The matter is now settled.
