Injury Update: PSG Faces Rennes with Key Players Out Ahead of Busy December Schedule

The injury list at Paris Saint-Germain is gradually clearing, yet a few players remain sidelined ahead of the resumption of Ligue 1 this weekend, including their match against Stade Rennais on Saturday night at Parc des Princes (21:05).

December promises to be an exceptionally busy month for Paris Saint-Germain, with five matches lined up across Ligue 1, the Champions League, and the defending champions’ entrance into the Coupe de France, along with the Intercontinental Cup in Doha.

Currently, two players are confirmed unavailable for the clash against Rennes on Saturday: Achraf Hakimi (ankle sprain) and Désiré Doué (grade 3 hamstring injury). The Moroccan fullback is undergoing individual rehabilitation, aiming for a return in time for the Africa Cup of Nations with the Atlas Lions.

A third player remains uncertain for the upcoming Ligue 1 encounter. Nuno Mendes is officially listed with a “minor right thigh injury,” having been substituted at halftime during the match against Tottenham last Wednesday (5-3), and he was also absent for PSG’s recent trip to Monaco (1-0). The Portuguese defender may return to training this Wednesday, as the Red and Blue team resumes training after a three-day break granted by Luis Enrique.
