Ilyes Housni Leaves PSG on Loan to Le Havre for Fresh Start
Paris Saint-Germain has officially finalized the loan transfer of Ilyes Housni, following a disappointing stint in Qatar for the talented 19-year-old forward. Housni is now set to join Le Havre, where he aims to gain valuable experience through this loan deal, which includes an option to buy, benefiting both the Normandy club and PSG.
Ilyes Housni is recognized as a “titi parisien,” a term used for young talents raised in the PSG academy. However, like many of his predecessors at the club, he struggled to find his footing in the first team. In search of playing time, he was loaned to Al-Sadd in Qatar last September, but his opportunities remained limited at Paris Saint-Germain.

Unfortunately, Housni’s time in Qatar proved to be far from successful, as he made only six appearances for Al-Sadd. Upon returning to PSG this summer, he found himself sidelined in the club’s “loft” of unwanted players. Seeking a new beginning, he has now been loaned to Le Havre, which is much closer to Paris and offers him a new opportunity with the added possibility of a permanent transfer.
A win-win situation for all parties involved
Didier Digard, the head coach of Le Havre, expressed his optimism regarding this arrangement in a statement to Paris-Normandie. He emphasized that this move aligns with their strategy and presents a beneficial scenario for everyone involved. “He fits into the philosophy of what we want to achieve with our resources. He is a player with potential to develop, but he also brings immediate quality to our squad. It’s a deal where everyone can come out ahead.”
