Pro-Palestine Banner Sparks Controversy

On Wednesday night, PSG Ultras displayed a banner supporting Palestine ahead of their match against Atlético. Riolo called it "the banner of hate," expressing his disgust in no uncertain terms.

The backlash was intense on social media, with former footballer Demba Ba criticizing Riolo’s comments on X (formerly Twitter). Ba challenged Riolo’s stance, suggesting, "If a message of peace makes you sick, then let it be."

Riolo responded to Ba’s critique, inviting him for a discussion on his show, After. He assured, "If your explanation is clear, I will apologize immediately. We await you in peace, Mr. Ba."

An Apology in the Balance

Riolo has shown willingness to retract his statements if Ba’s arguments convince him. However, Ba declined the invitation, demanding a public apology first for being labeled an extremist.
