Bradley Barcola’s Champions League Goal Drought: Over 15 Matches Without Scoring

Frequently criticized for his inefficiency in front of goal, Paris Saint-Germain’s French forward Bradley Barcola has been on a scoring drought that has extended beyond 15 matches in the UEFA Champions League, dating back to February 19, 2025.

Despite scoring seven goals in the 16 Ligue 1 matches he has played this season, Barcola has not been able to replicate this success on the European stage, failing to net a single goal this season. His last Champions League goal came during the previous season’s knockout phase, where he contributed to a resounding 7-0 victory over Stade Brestois.

Bradley Barcola’s Champions League Statistics

In his inaugural Champions League campaign with Paris Saint-Germain during the 2023/2024 season, Barcola managed to score just one goal against Real Sociedad in the Round of 16. Across three Champions League seasons, the French striker finds himself lagging behind his teammates and direct competitors, such as Ousmane Dembélé (11 goals), Désiré Doué (7 goals), and Kvicha Kvaratskhelia (6 goals). He is also outperformed by some unexpected former players like Blaise Matuidi (6 goals) and Juan Bernat (5 goals).
