Decisive halftime changes
PSG found themselves trailing 2-0 at halftime in their clash with Rennes. Luis Enrique, known for his tactical acumen, made a bold decision to substitute Ousmane Dembélé and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia for newcomers Ferran Torres and Mika Godts. The Spanish coach’s decision was met with admiration during the RMC show L’After Foot. Commentator Walid Acherchour remarked, “Enrique demonstrated his prowess by taking off a Ballon d’Or winner and a potential future winner, resulting in a 2-2 draw. His management is exceptional!” Acherchour emphasized the importance Enrique places on maintaining high standards, regardless of a player’s status, stating, “Respect and performance are non-negotiable under Enrique’s leadership.”

Team’s strong response
The PSG squad responded positively to their coach’s assertive choices, showcasing mental resilience in the second half. Acherchour noted, “The team’s mental fortitude in the second half was impressive, reflecting Enrique’s influence.”
