In a thrilling encounter at the Raymond Kopa Stadium, Paris Saint-Germain triumphed over Angers with a 4-2 victory during the 11th round of Ligue 1 on Saturday. The Parisians dominated the match, securing a four-goal lead before Angers staged a late comeback with two goals.

Following the final whistle, Angers’ head coach, Alexandre Dujeux, shared his thoughts on the team’s fifth defeat of the season. While acknowledging the strength of the Parisian side, the 48-year-old coach views the setback as an opportunity for his players to learn as they prepare for upcoming challenges against top-tier teams in the French championship.

“Paris deserved the win. We managed to win the second half, but in the first half, we lacked aggression and drive, often being caught off guard. They logically led at halftime, with a heavy score of 4-0, and the match seemed over. Even though it’s PSG, we must do better. We deserve credit for not collapsing and for coming back to 4-2. This will serve as a lesson for us against the league’s top teams,” Dujeux commented to DAZN.

With 10 points, Angers sits 15th in the standings, level with Saint-Étienne, who face Lyon in the Rhone derby this Sunday. Next week, Angers will travel to Abbé-Deschamps to take on Auxerre, who recently defeated OM 3-1 on Friday.
