Adrien Rabiot: From PSG Academy to Secret OM Fan?

Trained at Paris Saint-Germain, Adrien Rabiot made his professional debut in 2012, but surprising revelations have emerged about his childhood loyalties. According to former teammates from Créteil, Rabiot was actually a supporter of Olympique de Marseille during his youth. While he hasn’t confirmed this claim, the French international has admitted to enjoying watching Marseille matches.

Did Rabiot Root for Marseille?

Now representing Olympique de Marseille, with a contract running until June 2026, the question of Rabiot’s past affiliations was raised during a press conference on Wednesday. The 48-cap international did not validate his former teammates’ statements but acknowledged his fondness for watching Marseille play.

“I enjoyed watching OM, of course”

Reflecting on his childhood, Rabiot stated, “When I was younger, I enjoyed watching OM, of course. I’d say around the ages of 10 to 12, during the time of Mamadou Niang, (Toifilou) Maoulida, (Wilson) Oruma, and (Taye) Taiwo, those players. I liked watching Marseille, just as I liked watching other teams. I know you’re going to focus on this (smiles), but it was something I enjoyed, of course,” revealed Rabiot.
